EVERY DESIGN IS A STORY

 

Design is an exploration, as often are careers. I began mine as a journalist, but discovered that the stories I most enjoyed telling were visual.

“Concept is King,” “Less is just enough,” and “Love is in the details,” are all my allies. They guide the visually-driven stories I tell today.

Designer for 4 winning new business pitches.

STANDARD&POOR’S - Art Director / Designer

Currently, in collaboration with Futurebrand rebranding S&P Capital IQ. Scope includes strategy, identity, integrated ad campaign and website.

 

 

ANNA DEMCHICK - New York, NY - creative startup- 2012 - 2014
Art Director / Senior Designer / Freelance Designer 

Design Director and primary concept parent for in-house branding project, including identity, and responsive website. Creating / overseeing, wire frames, design and delivery.


In cooperation with the CD, served as Art Director, for the branding of Love Shack Fancy. Involved with all creative elements, and work presentations from concept through wire frames, through delivery. Worked closely with photographers, retouchers, animators and developers. Primary client contact. Project included development of a website, identity, look books, signage, digital presence.


Created concept and design for Barbara Nessim retrospective ad campaign promoting the exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Simultaneously served as Senior Designer for the accompanying V&A show book. Oversaw production process, monitoring color / text corrections and worked with the publisher, Abrams.

 

 

EXTERNAL IT - Brooklyn, NY - cloud hosting 2011 - 2012
Associate Design Director / Freelance Designer

In cooperation with the CCO rebranded the sister company OS33 to give it modern and upscale look, (identity, new website.) Created company’s cloud file manager app.


Responsible for digital, video and print materials, as well as trade show environmental graphics for External IT and OS33.


Created email campaigns, infographics and company newsletter.

 

Martin Agency Honors Workshop - Richmond, VA - 2011

Designer on the winning team for the Obama 2012 campaign competition.


Involved in concept development and executions for the integrated campaign including print (logo, tagline, ads), web (interactive ads, video taking advantage of Google and Youtube search) and a TV commercial.


Worked with a writer and business owners in creating hidden camera videos.

 

Naughty Housewife Bakery - New York, NY - 2011

Created identity program as well as packaging and signage. Proposed and designed a print campaign and a number of events promoting the brand.

Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML and CSS, After Effects, Final Cut, Keynote, cross-platform and responsive design.

Formal training and strong knowledge of typography, color theory, layout and digital Imaging, UI/UX, wire framing and prototyping.

Fluent in Polish, some French and Russian.
